Moto Z2 Force Now Made Compatible With 5G Moto Mod
Moto Z2 force by Motorola has now been made compatible with 5G Moto Mod which means that a user can now add compatibility of 5G to its 2 year old phones on 5G network of Verizon. Motorola has said that from this week this function will be available. Earlier, only Moto Z3 and Moto Z4 were compatible with the 5G Moto Mod.
Motorola also said that besides adding functionality of 5G to a device, it will be introducing a software update which is going to enable their phones to intelligently share their power with 5G Moto Mod which means that if one device has power and the other does not, below a certain level the devices will be able to share the power and give it to the device which has lesser power level. It also stated that the update will be improving the download speed n the Verizon’s 5G network. For Z2 force and Z3, this update will be available and with Z4 it will come pre-installed
The Verizon’s 5g network is available currently in 9 of US cities and the company has plans to roll it to over 30 cities by the time the year ends.
Z2 force phones which didn’t impress the critics when it was first launched in 2017 is not a part of the plans for Verizon for selling and the users anyway are not very willing to buy the phones now. However, users who already have the phone and live in an area where there is coverage may be tempted to try 5G without having to buy a new handset which gives the users an option. The number of users this update is going to effect is very less however it is good on the part of Motorola to keep trying for its users.
