Google Pixel 3 Might Keep Hold Of Squeezable Sides Similar To Pixel 2

Google Pixel 3 has been a topic of leaks and rumors lately. The handset that is expected to be the heir to Pixel 2 is claimed to make an entry later in 2018. But as it always happens, there are few people interested to find out some news on what is about to arrive. Lately, we witnessed the developer Beta 3 of Android P hinting at the entrance of wireless charging for the new smartphone. Now, a new report claims that the handset will retain the “Active Edge” function.

The report mentions a source who first posted the prototype for Pixel 3. He mentioned the testing of Active Edge function on the prototype wherein the smartphone will vibrate when squeezed. This gives us the first sign of the presence of the function. The second proof came from the Developer Preview 3 for Android P.

In the DP3 for Android P, the “WakeMode” class was found being changed with some fresh code inside the SystemUIGoogle APK. The “WakeMode” class was discovered below “com/google/android/systemui/Elmyra/gates” where “Elmyra” is the nickname for the feature of Active Edge.

A couple of days back, it was discovered that Google Pixel 3 might also have a dual front-facing camera and a “notch.” Apart from this, there is a tiny chin for the stereo front facing speakers too. At the rear side, the handset might also feature a fingerprint scanner along with a single rear camera.

On the basis of the earlier leaked pictures, the yet-to-be-declared “Pixel 3” is claimed to sport the usual volume rocker on the right and power button while at the bottom there might be a port supporting USB Type-C. The media reports that the search giant will stick with the two-smartphone plan in 2018 as well and will roll out them later this year in October.
