Oracle Gets Ready To Roll Its First Data HubSustained by high requirement in the telecom, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance), and manufacturing segments in India, Cloud behemoth Oracle is ready to roll out its first-ever data hub in India later in 2019, a top global official claimed to the media in an interview.

The data hub will assist Oracle take on primary cloud players such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure who already have noteworthy attendance in the nation.

“We witness vast prospects for India, which is presently the 6th biggest nation in the world for us in terms of income generation. That is why we are developing up a data hub for the Cloud. I am certain that is just the first of the many data hubs arriving as our business develops,” claimed Executive Vice President at Oracle Database, Andrew Mendelsohn, to the media in an interview.

To start with, the data hub will look after of IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) and PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) workloads, while testing for SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) on the OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) is still in progress, together with other modalities prior to it is opened for all.

On a related note, Oracle earlier claimed that it entered into a joint venture with LinkedIn (the professional networking platform) to assist HR teams engage, attract, and retain employees. A range of new integrations between Taleo Enterprise Edition and Oracle’s HCM Cloud (Human Capital Management Cloud), and LinkedIn, will assist HR teams to develop their talent pool and elevate career development chances, Oracle claimed.
